Our client is a leading global infrastructure fund with over $10 billion in assets under management (AUM). They specialise in mostly mid-market infrastructure investments, focusing on essential assets that support communities and economies. Target returns are typically focused on 8-12% IRR covering a broad range of infrastructure (e.g. data centres, fibre, solar, wind, battery, airports, ports, social/affordable housing). Based on a successful few years, and a large pipeline of transactions and capital commitments we are looking for an Associate to assist end to end investment and asset management work.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting senior executives in analysing infrastructure opportunities across new and existing sectors covering the financial and commercial assessment of the deal.
• Conducting due diligence and managing workstreams associated with transactions.
• Adopting an owner’s mindset in managing portfolio companies to drive innovation and value creation, including executing value-add projects.
• Assisting the debt stream of transactions and portfolio companies.
• Engaging in the proactive management of portfolio companies, including attending board meetings, participating in strategic discussions, and conducting financial analysis.
• Presenting investment opportunities and portfolio performance insights to boards, Investment Committees, and key stakeholders.
• Assessing investment strategies and infrastructure thematics to identify growth opportunities.
• Managing external advisers throughout the investment process.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, infrastructure corporate finance, infrastructure funds, or similar roles.
• We will require experience (which will be checked under test conditions) within 3 way statement modelling and project finance modelling (with debt sculpting).
