Established growth capital private equity firm, founded c. 6 years ago, in Sydney is looking for an Analyst to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic investment environment, supporting fund deployment, portfolio management, and strategic decision-making. The fund has deployed most of their 1st fund (circa $100m) and are currently in the closing stages of raising their 2nd fund.

About the Role:

• Work directly with senior leadership, contributing to deal assessment (synthesising and making a decision regarding investment appeal), deal execution, hands on work with investee companies, and strategic investment decisions.
• Analyse and assess investment opportunities across the technology, technology enabled (some examples being; IT services, access management, aggregators, shareholder registries and a long list of others), focusing on businesses with EVs between $10M–$150M with minority or controlling stakes.
• Engage in critical analysis beyond traditional financial modeling, structuring investments, engaging external advice, dilligencing company and industry risk, and protecting stakeholder interests.
• High likelyhood of international exposure and travel opportunities spanning the US and Asia for purposes of investment into new companies, or assisting portfolio companies in expanding overseas.

Who We’re Looking For:

• 2–4 years of experience in a relevant field—candidates from investment banking, Big 4 (corporate advisory, M&A, valuations, deals modelling, valuations), or potentially equity research or management consultants that are focused on transactions are encouraged to apply. For transaction services, deals modelling valuations candidates we would be looking more at 4-5 years of experience (to hire into an Analyst role), for lead M&A candidates, we would consider 2-4 years of experience.
• This is an established but newer PE fund, locally based, looking for candidates who are interested in smaller (but high growth) environments and willing to roll their sleves up.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills—we need more than just a "cookie-cutter" approach to modeling and due diligence.
• A genuine hunger to learn and the ability to assess businesses strategically, not just technically.
• Attitude is everything—we want someone enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to work hard.

• The base salary aligns to a fund of the size, stipulated above + bonus + carry participation (on the fund currently being raised, and future funds).
