Investment Analyst – Private Debt (Real Estate / Structured Finance)

Job Description:

  • Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join the growing business. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of private debt transactions; there is a strong lean toward professionals who have had previous experience with private debt instruments across the following verticals: Real estate, securitization, distressed debt and structured finance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Support: Assist in the analysis, structuring, and execution of private debt transactions, with a focus on real estate, securitization, structured finance, and high yield debt.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, perform scenario analysis, and support decision-making processes.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct detailed due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk evaluation.
  • Market Research: Perform market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the private debt and structured finance sectors.
  • Portfolio Management: Support the ongoing management of existing investments, including monitoring performance, preparing reports, and making recommendations for portfolio adjustments.
  • Documentation: Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, pitch books, and other transaction-related documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members, external advisors, and clients to facilitate successful deal execution and portfolio management.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in private debt, banking, corporate finance, or investment banking, previous experience within real estate, debt advisory, securitization, structured finance, distressed debt, restructuring or high yield debt is certainly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACA) would be an advantage.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).
