My client is seeking a Senior BDM/BDM to target retail and wholesale advice groups in the NSW/ACT/QLD region, in addition to sharing coverage of some intermediaries (i.e. consultants, platforms).

There is some flexibility with respect to candidate seniority. Target candidates may have between 5-10+ years' experience in funds management sales or a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying and pursuing business opportunities within the desired channels, fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
• Conducting regular client meetings, presentations, and seminars to educate and advise clients on the firm's investment offering.
• Providing tailored investment solutions and superior service to meet the needs of clients and prospects.
• Collaborating closely with investment teams and affiliates to articulate investment strategies and value propositions effectively.
• Ongoing monitoring of market trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities.
• Assisting with the management of national roadshows, industry convention engagement or similar events.
• Regional or interstate travel as necessary.

Key Attributes/Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role, with a track record of successfully meeting sales targets.
• Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets and portfolio construction concepts.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly and effectively.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications such as a CFA, CAIA, MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
